2023 Copper State Classic

May 19-21, 2023

Copper State Skating Club presents the 2023 Copper State Classic.

We anticipate a full three days of competition, including “Showcase Sunday” featuring a full day of showcase competition on 3/4 ice. Showcase competitors can be selected to compete in a skate-off at the end of the day in six different categories. The skate-off winners receive an award.

Copper State Classic is an Excel Series competition.

NEW THIS YEAR:

  • New venue -- Coyotes Community Ice Center in Mesa, Arizona

  • New Showcase judging -- National Showcase-eligible events (Preliminary and above, Adult Bronze and above) will be judged using the Component Judging System (CJS).  Other Showcase events will be judged using the 6.0 system.

  • NEW -- video for each event (Skate-offs excluded) is included in your registration fee!

Copper State Classic Volunteers & Donations

Our annual Copper State Classic is fast approaching.  Without volunteers and donations, this competition can NOT run smoothly.  We encourage our club members to volunteer to fulfill their requirement for renewal of membership.

Here is the requirement per your membership agreement:  there is a volunteer commitment required for the 2022-2023 season in order to receive the discount for 2023-2024 season membership and that the requirement is 5 hours per family per year for one skater.  Families with more than one skater will require an additional 2 hours per skater per year. We have something for everyone.  Please take a look and see what you can fill.

There will be Volunteer Forms available at the registration desk at CSC to track your volunteer hours over the duration of Copper State Classic.  These forms must be signed off by a CSSC Board Member or CSC Committee Member for the position served.  Completed forms will then be turned back into Registration and applied to your account.

Our top priority is getting volunteers, but we also need donations.  Please share with your family and friends the SignUpGenius for our donations:
