Copper State was formed in October 2010 to foster an elite training program and further the dreams of the next generation of figure skaters. Whether you are a beginner or a National level skater, Copper State Skating Club is the place for you!

It is our goal to provide a fun, healthy atmosphere for both competitive and recreational skaters alike. Want to learn more, come skate with us!

Copper State Classic 2022

May 20-22, 2022 Gilbert, AZ

The Copper State Classic is sanctioned by U.S. Figuring Skating and is open to all eligible, restricted, reinstated or readmitted persons as defined by the Eligibility Rules, and is a currently registered member of a U.S. Figure Skating member club, a collegiate club or an individual member in accordance with the current rulebook.  Please refer to the current rulebook for non-U.S. Citizens.

NOTE: All Showcase events will be held on Sunday, May 22.  Showcase events will be on 3/4 ice, with warmup behind a curtain.

Deadline to register is April 24, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Arizona time.  Late registration is available until May 2, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Arizona time.  There is a $30 fee for late registration. Registration is closed.

NOTE: Due to the May 20, 7:30 p.m. Stars on Ice performance, Friday’s events will end at 4 p.m.

Copper State has various memberships for all types of skaters and families. Membership plans include:

  • Membership to U.S. Figure Skating
  • 12 issues of USFS Magazine
  • Eligibility to take USFS tests and receive certificates and patches for tests passed
  • Eligibility to compete in USFS sanctioned competitions
  • Attend club social activities and participate in club exhibitions, seminars, and clinics for free or reduced rates
  • Attend annual awards banquet and more


Test sessions are held by Copper State Skating Club for skaters wishing to enter qualifying competitions or simply to feel a sense of accomplishment. All figure skaters who are members of a member club or collegiate club may participate in the USFASA’s official tests. Tests are marked on a “pass” or “retry” basis.
